Facebook Lite Ready to hit Twitter

 

San Francisco, Despite its dominance mounting, up though did not want to become complacent and continue to innovate. Mark Zuckerberg's site is currently going through testing 'Lite', a new service which is likely to directly challenge the microblogging sites are on the rise, Twitter.
"We're testing the simple alternative of Facebook.com that can load a specific features quickly and efficiently," the statement quoted by AFP up on Thursday (13/8/2009).
"Similar to the experience up as you can on the phone, up Lite is a simplified version with loading up quickly, you can still write a comment, add friends, write a wall and see the status of other users," adds up.
A simpler version of this seems intended to up keep currentused in countries with limited bandwidth. The images in the site is minimized and the video resolution is also suppressed in order to speed up loading the site.
Currently, up Lite is being tested in several countries such as India, where some local users are invited to participate in the test. While the first launch of the plan would be carried out in India and Russia.
